On September 23, TwinLoop was presented by Ariane Voyatzakis, Director of Innovation at ANIA (National Association of Food Industries), during the ASTRAGAL Days organized by INRAE.
This two-day event brought together key players in research, innovation, and the agri-food sector around a shared ambition: to collectively imagine pathways toward more sustainable agriculture and food systems.
Ariane participated in a roundtable discussion titled:“Socio-economic experts speak out: what are the needs for 2030? What perspectives for 2050?”
She outlined the main research priorities for the agri-food industry:
Reformulating products to better meet nutritional challenges, with concrete results such as a 20% reduction in salt in bread over the past 10 years
Developing more efficient and low-carbon production processes
Improving packaging recycling to reduce waste and support a more circular economy
Optimizing resource use by applying circular economy principles at every stage
As one of TwinLoop’s 19 project partners, ANIA chose to illustrate these challenges by highlighting the TwinLoop initiative.
TwinLoop is committed to designing and developing solutions to make food packaging more sustainable, more traceable, and more circular, by involving stakeholders throughout the entire value chain.
This collaborative approach is essential to drive meaningful change and support the transition toward more sustainable models in the agri-food sector.
We sincerely thank Ariane Voyatzakis for representing the project at this event.
